Job Description

We’re hiring experienced, full time (44+ hours per week) Utility Locate Technicians (also known as Damage Prevention Technicians) to help protect Ontario’s underground infrastructure and to ensure safe dig site work conditions. A valid Class G driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract are required. You will be based out of our Hamilton office but the job will take you all over Ontario throughout the day. Experienced Utility Locate Technicians will have access to a company vehicle and benefits.


Requirements

  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Additional PPE will be provided.

  • Security and Safety: Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract).

  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Public transportation is available, Long-term Travel expenses paid by employer, Vehicle supplied by employer.

  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, Sitting, Ability to distinguish between colours, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking.

  • Work Location Information: Various locations.

  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, Excellent written communication, Team player, Initiative, Effective interpersonal skills, Flexibility.

  • Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Full Class G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
