Utility Locate Technician (Paid Apprentice Program): Video

No experience required! This position is open to residents of Canada who are legally entitled to work in Canada.

 

Start your Utility Locate Technician career with our Paid Apprentice Program. We off you:

  • $40 000 to $45 000 per year depending on related experience and hours worked.

  • paid training.

  • consistent, year-round work.

  • plenty of opportunity for overtime at overtime rates!

  • paid drive time with an incentive program to turn drive time hours into overtime hours.

As an apprentice Utility Locate Technician you have:

  • a full class G driver’s license.

  • a clean driver’s abstract.

  • a willingness to 8, 10, and 12 hour shifts and overtime.

  • a willingness to occasionally travel out of area for a few days (travel and accommodations paid for by us).

  • friendly and helpful communication skills.

  • certified safety boots (all other personal protective equipment will be supplied).

  • the ability to read and write in English.

  • the ability to use a laptop and smartphone.

  • the ability to read maps.

  • a willingness to work outside all year-round.

  • a positive can-do attitude.

 

No experience necessary. We will pay you a full time wage while we train and certify you as a Damage Prevention Technician.

While training, you will be paired up with an experienced Utility Locate Technician who will walk you through all the ins and outs of the job, answer all your questions, and ensure you feel confident as you learn and improve your damage prevention skills.

Successfully completing the Paid Apprentice Program leads into work as a full-time, certified Utility Locate Technician with a vehicle, benefits, increased wage, paid career advancement, and more!
